This delicate and airy baby’s breath bouquet is inexpensive, easy to make, and delightfully romantic. Baby’s breath has seen a resurgence in popularity in the last year. No longer relegated to filler in red rose bouquets from the grocery store, baby’s breath shines all on its own.
You’ll need: Two bunches of baby’s breath, floral tape, scissors, burlap, lace, and a hot glue gun.
Start by shortening the stems of the baby’s breath. Then take each individual stem and separate the off-shoots, gather the individual shoots into a bunch, trying to keep them at about the same height and creating a full, round shape. Continue doing this until you have used all the flowers or reached the desired fullness, whichever comes first.
Wrap the floral tape around the stems tightly, then cut off the excess stems so that they create an even look.
Wrap a strip of burlap around the floral tape and secure the end with hot glue.
Wrap a single strip of lace trim around the burlap and secure with hot glue.
Voila! A beautiful and ethereal baby’s breath bouquet is perfect for a romantic wedding!
