Better Strap In

While strapless dress still dominate wedding gown collections, sleeves and straps are gaining popularity, and fast! A dress with sleeves/straps can be more comfortable, classic, and unexpected than the tried ant true (and tired) strapless gown.

A wedding dress with cap sleeves can be sweet and girlish (and you don’t have to keep pulling it up throughout the night. This J Crew dress is both carefree and elegant, the perfect dress for an outdoor wedding with lots of dancing!

A one shoulder gown is refreshingly modern after years of the strapless dress. And the extra detail around the neckline means you don’t have to wear a necklace.

The lace sleeve look is pretty much all the rage right now, thanks to last year’s royal wedding. This look manages to be both demure and sexy. Isn’t that every bride’s dream?

I just about die for this gorgeous vintage inspired wedding dress from BHLDN which somehow manages to be so contemporary despite its 30s silhouette.

And this gorgeous dress combines some of my favorite wedding trends: lace, barely there straps, and blush tones. It’s pretty much perfect.
