Burlap and Lace Bunting

Bunting

Bunting is super inexpensive and cute way to dress up your reception venue. Bunting lends a festive and old-fashioned air to your wedding, and this precious lace and burlap version is a breeze to make yourself.

You’ll need: Lace trim, burlap, sewing machine, scissors, ribbon, pins, paper, and pencil.

Draw a triangle on your paper and cut it out. This will be your pattern for cutting out your burlap triangles for your bunting.

Measure your trim and put pins where the ends of your triangle swill go. Measure out the spaces in between the triangles to ensure that each burlap piece is equally spaced.

Cut out the appropriate number of burlap triangles with your pattern. Trim the edges of the burlap with your scissors. You’ll probably be covered in burlap fuzz at this point! But no worries, the hard part is over.

Sew the triangles onto your lace trim (attaching the burlap behind the trim). We used cobalt blue thread for a little something blue. A zigzag stich is probably your best option. We sewed the ends of the trim into loops for easy hanging and to have a place to attach the ribbon.

Take your satin ribbon and tie two large bows through the loops at the end.

Now you have an adorable homemade lace and burlap bunting to use on your wedding day.
