Date Night

While you might want to make eyelet napkin rings and hand address invitations every single waking moment before the wedding, it’s important to spend a little quality time with your man. Especially quality time when you aren’t obsessing over the difference between ecru, eggshell, and ivory. Here are a few creative date ideas to get the ball rolling.

1 | Themed Movie Night – Go ahead, rent every 80s movie you can think of, pop a ridiculous amount of popcorn, and cuddle on the couch while watching Ferris Beuller on his day off. Or rent bad 50s horror flicks and pretend to be terrified of the obviously fake aliens.

2 | Shop till You Drop – Go to a store and challenge each other to find the most creative present for your honey. Make it especially interesting by enforcing time limits and budgets. The person with the best/most creative/funniest/cutest present for less than $10 in 30 minutes wins. Wins what? That’s up to you two, of course!

3 | Go Fly a Kite – Or at least, go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather together. Pack some sandwiches and a blanket and go for a picnic. Take a walk together and hold hands like teenagers. Go for a hike or a run together. Getting out of the house and moving around will be sure to improve your mood, not to mention you can stay in wedding gown shape at the same time!

4 | Lend a Helping Hand – Spend a few hours volunteering together. It’s a great way to help other people and to spend your quality time together doing a good deed.

5 | Restaurant Crawl – Have appetizers at one restaurant, an entree at another, and dessert at still another! It might take a little planning, but a restaurant crawl can make for a fun and fabulous dinner date. Go have all of your favorites in one meal or try some restaurants you’ve never been to!
